Yeah, I know that sounds crazy, right? I’m kind of a science nerd. When my daughter went to Washington D.C. oh so many years ago on the honors trip, she knew exactly what I wanted and she brought me pictures of all the rocks and gems at the Smithsonian. I was so excited! Today, I was watching some information on NASA landing on Mars. My kind of stuff lol! I am writing a science fiction romance and it’s fun for me! One of the shows I still watch on t.v. Is Ancient Aliens. I love how that show makes me think. I’m not sure I buy it all but I like the process! Both of my younger kids have some science interests too. My daughter is a chemistry major in her freshman year and she wants to be an optometrist. My youngest son wants to be a mechanical engineer but when he was little all I got to read to him was dinosaur books. Not fiction, nonfiction. Like Encyclopedia of Dinosaurs. And he would critique how they were described or pictured. He wanted as realistic as possible. He got pretty harsh lol!
My oldest son was a computer programmer but he’s changing to graphic art. Which he did in high school so I’m happy about that. He’s marrying a girl who already does graphic design. Perfect Match!
My 21st anniversary is the 19th of this month. Which always reminds me how I met Scott. My aunt took me line dancing and shortly after we got there, I saw a really good looking guy who wore tight blue jeans and had a fantastic behind! (I’ve told all my children this and my daughter especially is appalled). Sorry not sorry lol! He looked good. It was only later when she dragged me over to meet him that I discovered she didn’t even know him. She’d just seen him and thought I’d like him. I just counted ceiling tiles until I realized that she had conned him into taking me outside and teaching me a dance. It was awkward as hell. Then when I went inside I saw him talking to his nephew who was way younger than him. Next thing I know, Travis asks me if I want to learn another dance. We go outside and he chats and I’m laughing my butt off and say he reminds me of my oldest son. He asked if I had a kid and I said yes. Then he asked my age and tore off when he found out I was 25. I walk in the door and he’s waving his arms around, talking to Scott. Turns out Scott was trying to fix me up with his nephew because he thought I was 13. Jeez! I still stalked him at all the line dancing places until I got him to go out with me! which was unusual for me. I was very shy but something about him set me off. Maybe the jeans. Maybe the Stetson. Maybe the boots. But it all worked let me tell you!
