New year, new hopes

My new book series should come out next week. The first book in Tremaine’s Gym, Bishop’s Queen, I think it will hold a special place for me. I haven’t been to the gym for several years but before that, I would go almost every day, sometimes twice a day because I taught cardio kickboxing and Zumba. I loved it because I had always loved working out. Despite that, I had about 35 extra pounds and I was short so I wasn’t a svelte instructor and sometimes I got some funny looks but I was healthy and absolutely kept up with the other instructors when I took their classes. I did get funny looks and some rude comments when I taught my classes. Since I’m usually shy and teaching was outside my comfort zone, that hurt. I put myself out there and got a little emotionally roughed up. My love for exercising took a serious hit and not only did I quit teaching, I stopped working out. The reason I told y’all this is Bishop’s Queen has a woman like me, a little too curvy, teaching classes but she doesn’t give up. She meets a man who loves her for her, not how skinny she is. She learns to accept and even love her curves and doesn’t lose that happiness she gets from teaching. We all need someone sometimes to pull ourselves out of our own heads. Bishop is that man and I hope you love him as much as I enjoyed writing him!
